SCHC is revising our Links to list associations and members’ businesses. This will include Farrier Association, Veterinarian Association, Equine Dental Association and Saddle Clubs. All members of SCHC get a free link to their website. By doing this you are allowing horsemen in SC to be able to find your business.

As the national association representing all segments of the horse industry in Washington, DC, the American Horse Council works daily to represent your equine interests and opportunities.

Back Country Horsemen is the South Carolina chapter of a nation-wide organization committed to protecting access of all equestrians to public lands, and to preserving and maintaining trails. Founded in 2019.
The American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP)
The American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) was founded in 1954 by a group of 11 charter members who saw that together they could direct the focus of equine veterinary medicine.
Today, the AAEP, headquartered in Lexington, Ky., at the Kentucky Horse Park, represents an educated group of men and women who cover a broad range of equine disciplines, breeds and associations. Nearly 9,300 veterinarians and veterinary students in 61 countries are members of the AAEP.

Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation
Founded in 1983, the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation is the largest equine sanctuary in the world devoted to the rescue, retirement,
rehabilitation and retraining of Thoroughbred horses no longer able to compete on the racetrack. Over 4,000 horses have come through our programs and we currently care for 950 nationwide. More than 1,000 Thoroughbreds have been adopted out to loving homes. At re-training farms, we prepare racehorses for adoption as riding and companion horses. Read more....

Horse racing is once again re-established in the Lowcountry. The sport of horse racing in the South Carolina Lowcounty takes its origins from the Mother Country, England. The first recorded race was run on February 1, 1734 in Charleston. Read More... Medieval Times
For the first time in Medieval Times' 34-year history, a Queen has taken the throne. Her Majesty Dona Maria Isabella presides over a tournament of knights who gather in celebration to test their skill against one another in a series of games, jousting, and combat.
The new story brings a series of changes to the show including new costumes, custom-designed and handmade armor, fight scenes, and musical score composed by Dr. Daniel May, who directed and recorded the composition in Kiev with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. Be among the first to experience the debut of our new show.
